0ISO 14001 accreditation for The BIL Group
March 24th, 2023
The BIL Group recognises the importance of the environment and the impact that we have upon it. One of our key objectives focuses on the environmental impact of our activities, products, and services, so that we can continually improve our environmental impact.
Where possible we ‘look local’ and seek to recruit and source products and services locally to reduce our carbon footprint. Being able to source products in this way, we feel can have a large impact on our sustainability aims. The BIL Group tries to always maintain good environmental policies and to encourage recycling, minimising of carbon footprint and generally adopt good socially responsible environmental practices.
Timothy Murrow; Managing Director of the BIL Group said, “The BIL Group have been going through an ISO 14001 audit. This is an environmental ISO standard that we are introducing because we have a moral duty to protect the environment. Being both ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 accredited sends a strong message to our customers that we are fully compliant, operating responsibly and that the quality of our service is consistently improved.”
The implementation, development and application of our new Integrated Management System will help us to meet the environmental challenges of the future head on. It will result in an overall reduction in our carbon footprint, waste production and costs, minimising the environmental impact of our operations while improving our business processes.
Stephen Cainey – QMS / EMS / H&S Representative The achievement of ISO 14001 accreditation is an important step forward for BIL Group Ltd and we are very proud to have been recognised for our continued commitment to high environmental standards. We aim to make a positive contribution to society and the environment by advising our clients how to embed sustainable practices into their communications as well as improving our own business practices.
Its all about how we work with our extensive supply chain to ensure the materials we use are responsibly sourced, that we use as little energy as possible, and that energy comes from renewable sources and that our waste management programmes not only avoids damaging the environment but can actually enhance it.
