BIL Group Wheels: Supporting the Rural Roaming Room Project

The Rural Roaming Room, a project aimed at enhancing community engagement across Ynys Mon, involved transporting five looms across North Wales. These looms needed to be transported safely and securely across rough terrain while maintaining structural integrity and aesthetic appeal, a challenge that required a particular type of wheel to solve.

BIL Group was tasked with finding the perfect wheel, ensuring they could handle heavy loads, as well as rough terrain, to guarantee safe and efficient transport. Additionally, the wheels had to fit the trailer too, without being excessively large and detracting from the looms’ architectural beauty. It was also paramount that the design was created in such a way that meant all the elements fitted together seamlessly during transportation and assembly for complete peace of mind.

To address these challenges, our team offered our expert advice on selecting the most suitable wheels capable of handling the required load and terrain. We also supplied STL CAD models, which were vital for ensuring coordination and accuracy. This approach was key in achieving the project’s architectural and functional goals. The wheels selected were tailored to fit the trailer perfectly, balancing size and durability without compromising the visual appeal of the looms.

These efforts also resulted in a seamless integration of the wheels with the trailer, ensuring that the looms could be transported safely and efficiently across various sites.

The project team have given us high praise thanks to our contributions, citing our technical expertise as the main piece in overcoming the project’s challenges. Our attention to detail and the balancing of technical requirements with aesthetic considerations ensured that the project met its functional and visual objectives. Overall, the team highly recommend BIL Group for assistance in future projects.
